-1.5 isn't bad at all. I'm -4.25/-3.75. I can't see shit without glasses/contacts.

Yeah, that's both of my eyes and they haven't changed in 16 years.

If i were you (or my wife who was -9.5 both eyes) i would make it a priority. Even being that far out of whack for her, they were able to get her to 20/40 without lenses. The place she went to allows for lifetime adjustments but she doesn't want to go through the dry eyes again and that's not enough of a hassle for lenses.

I'm lucky to be 20/15 with lenses and i can sleep in them for weeks at a time without issues. The lenses i picked up today are the first type that i've worn that are intended for extended constant use. So i'm hoping they'll be even more comfortable than the 1980 mkI lenses i was using.

Wow. That's pretty good. I should make it priority. I got bit by the mod bug hard after I got the E46 M3 about ten months ago. I paid for the lasik eye surgery a few times over in mods. LOL

I also have extended wear contacts and sleep in them for extended periods of time. The only time contacts really bug me is during allergy season. My eyes get dry and itchy. Gets very uncomfortable.
