Hello all!

Traded in my faithful 2007 Z4 (E89) for a one-owner, low-mileage 2019 Z4 (G29)and I am blown away!

Had my E89 since new (only 82k fun miles) and loved driving that car. Decided it was time for some modern amenities and a new driving experience, and this 30i does not disappoint.

The Convenience Package, heated seats and steering wheel, along with the Sport Line package (including black Vernasca leather) and 18” Orbit Grey wheels create an amazing car.

I was skeptical about owning a 4-cylinder engine but one quick drive changed all of that for me. The handling dynamics created by this stiff chassis and 50/50 balance are second to none.

I’ve owned many cars over the years and this Z4 - by far - creates an incredible driving experience. This is the only car that I’ve owned that actually makes me feel special when I’m driving it or walking up to it.

Just can’t wait to get in and drive (only “mod” is de-badging)!

Same as me, from E89 to G29. Just love Z4 so much.

I live 45 minutes from the BMW facility in Spartanburg, SC (the employees there get fantastic lease rates) so I do see a ton of Bimmers but not so many Z4s.

I did the same move from e89 to G29. Such a huge difference. I feel very fortunate to have one of these cars. Don’t see many around so they remain unique. Anyone just go into the garage to simply check it out?

Wish I could go into garage and look! Placed order yesterday and need patience to wait on process progress. But I want it now!

This is my daily driver and lives in the driveway so I just look out the front window if I'm missing it. It fits in the garage but just barely, it's so wide I only put it inside when there's a snow storm in the forecast. Both my old E85 and E89 used to fit no problem. The extra 2-3 inches makes it hard to get out of as the door hits the wall and I'm not getting any younger or thinner.

I've got to be in Greenville next week. Is there anything for a tourist to see BMW-related in Spartanburg if I detour there?

I’ve been to the Zentrum museum and on the plant tour — both are worthwhile

I second 823BMW, though the Centrum was closed when I toured the factory. BMW CCA also has a museum in the area I believe.

Not so much in Spartanburg. Greenville, however, has a lot of great places to dine. And - there’s the BMW dealership - fun to visit. There are several other nice lots - Porsche, Jaguar, Range Rover (fun to see cars that are priced out of the stratusphere)!

I purposely built a 3-car “open garage” (carport?) so I can see our vehicles! I’ve been geeking out and have remote started my Z at night just to see it come to life in the dark! 😬😳😉

This is one of the few cars that I’ve owned that check out when I’m walking away - always glance back to smile at its fantastic lines. The other day a random lady caught me looking back - she smiled and said “Nice car!” - I felt like a 10 year old. 😬

Yes. Night and day when comparing the materials, the tech, and the driving dynamics. I miss the E89 for nostalgic reasons (but not much)!!!

Funny - I’ve owned all versions of the Z and I’ve never joined the club. I guess since I live right here - I take it for granted. I really DO need to join.
