I can't remember ever personally going to buy socks so no, plus I'm not exactly sure what a suit is, but I'm pretty sure I've never worn one.

This thread has made me realize how sad my sock life is. I've been missing out on so much, and I didn't even know it.

I recently saw a pic with the CEOs of the 3 big auto makers in the US. Two of them had crazy socks. Couldn't see what the third was wearing. These guys are in their 60s with easy 4-figure tailored suits and they wore bizarre socks. Not sure I get it.

I've been noticing guys in suits wearing bright colored or polka-dotted socks while I've been walking around NYC this week. It is the style, I guess.

I don't have to wear a suit to work, luckily, only trousers and a shirt. I do however wear "lively" socks all the time.

Life is too short for light beer, skim milk coffee, bad wine and boring socks

I guess that's your color in lieu of a tie

I have to wear a suit to work. I would say I wear color/crazy socks maybe 20% of the time. Usually senior people (management) make negative comments about it...

Agree, especially about the skim milk coffee! Always heavy whipping cream in mine.

I would definitely wear this and have when I worked in corporate. And that was years ago. Fashion Forward is not for everyone. But I have NEVER liked being "bland and grey". A splash of color is fun and demonstrates a nice sense of fashion.
*edit* and still do if I'm required to dress up or attend a Happy Hour or the such.
