Oh......he was being an ass. Mentioning it that many times of front of his girl proves that.

I mean I'm the first to compliment anyone I see who has put in work....even in front of my wife.

But I wouldn't ramble on and on about it. At that point, she may think I was having a man crush or something!

So yesterday was bench....last set was 365 again, and I finally got my 5 reps and my training app flashed congratulations....you're training max has increased.

So next progession it will recalculate based on that and I will be able to try and push that number. Only have some hesitation about how my new diet will affect my lifts in the future.

Going this morning to do legs. Just waiting on the wife to get up and get her coffee down! But I'm planning squats, hack squats, walking lunges, stiff-legged deads, and then calf work. Tomorrow is a day off, then next day is shoulders and my overhead press progressions. I may throw in some triceps as well.

I remember it was a very awkward exercise for me to learn, but being short and having a short range of motion I got pretty decent at it.

I need to research it again as I used it as a means to an end, but I didn't really approach it from a "gains" perspective.

I honestly thought of it as a rehab exercise during the time!
Yeah they are an exercise you don’t see many ppl doing. I’m the only one in my entire gym that does them. Or at least that I’m aware of. I’m not surprised your Powerlifting friend showed them to you. They definitely fall in the Combo Powerlifting movement category. What interesting is every time I do them I have someone come ask me about them. Happened yesterday when I was finished. A couple younger in shape guys were very curious. I was more then happy to explain and have them try it.

Knowledge is power!

Lol!!!!!

I am.....but I thought that you were going to try to "thin the herd" ....so to speak. That would be a cool piece to add to the collection though. I don't think it's too busy.

My only issue is I haven't bought anything in awhile. My wife wants to move and find our retirement home, so I've been stashing cash for that as I want to try and make it as much of a sideways move as possible. Definitely not looking to get into more debt as the house is the only thing I have left to pay on....and I'm not too far off from that unless we end up moving into something considerable more costly.

Yeah I have thinned the herd by giving away close to a dozen I would say. Things I'm not wearing and with lower value have been giving to wifes brother mostly. I have 18 now and could squeeze and get rid of 8 more but would need to sell most of those now. Cant get rid of 10 or wont.

Sry I don’t use either of those, no help from me. Just my Hyperice roller.

However I also have/use a wireless Bluetooth iTens unit. Works great thru the phone app!

Awesome!

I'm in a deload week...so nothing worth writing about. Did set some new 1RM's in my last progression, so they will be worked into my upcoming programming!

LOL....Been there and done that so many times...I feel your pain.

Now I try to stay within 10-15lbs of my "wanted look" so when I do have to diet...it's only 4-6 weeks or so to be beach ready.

Ha! Yup. I recently read Layne Norton's "Fat Loss Forever" and followed the protocols in there to a T.

I am down to 182 from ~205. Was previously at 198-205 for at least a couple years so it felt good to trim down and see some of the hypertrophy gains from the last couple years.

Heading to Bald Head Island, NC with my family in a month and I plan to be "Shredded like a Julienne salad"

Heavy weights are great, but what gives me even more power - is inversion table. And it's great when you have some free-to-use inversion tables in the nearest park to you. (like these: https://cozyhousetoday.com/best-inve...s-buyers-guide), so anyone can simply spend 15-20 minutes per day and go outside to stretch their muscles and strengthen body by doing different exercises on it.
