Does the dealership have an allocation or are they waiting on one for you? Hope things go well for your order process.

From the conversation I don't think they have an allocation but believe they can get one. Since my trade-in is covered in the garage until probably April I didn't push the issue in order to get a deal I could live with. I will give them a week and then request a specific date that they can place the official order. Not extremely optimistic but not in a hurry.

I'm in the same boat. Placed the deposit/order in mid Dec. Salesperson stated they did not have an allocation, and nothing would likely happen until January, since BMW takes the last two weeks of Dec off for Christmas. Salesperson said he felt confident they could get an allocation by trading one they had for an unsold dealer inventory vehicle to apply to my "sold" Z4. He said BMW will also see the order in the system and usually provide an allocation on a customer order.

I'm in no hurry. Let the waiting begin .....

It’ll be worth the wait. As others have said, there a a number of threads on timelines and the tracking process through delivery. Watching it go through the build process is part of the experience!

Not as excited for the Subaru, but ... only way to get a new car these days. Dealers wanted my wife's current car for almost what we paid for it, so .. won't pass up the opportunity.

Others have noted that if you log onto MyBMW, then go to track the build, it will show you a list of your ordered options. If something was deleted, it should show up as deleted on that list.
