50th Anniversary Badge Coming
So BMW press release says all new M Models with a "production date from March 2022" will get the new special roundel on front, back and wheels. And M Performance models (such as M40i) can choose to add it (but not cars that only have the M Sport package).
I think the car I just ordered may be eligible to add the badge to the order after February. But not sure if I love it or not. Is it cool or just weird and too busy? Here's a photoshop:

I may have the same opportunity, depending on my build date. I have already talked to my rep about adding it. I like the look in the article I read, and it will be something a little different.

The new badge would look great on the Misano blue color.

Think I'd order them to keep but swap out on the car.

The BMW M 50 Years Emblems are now appearing as a $200 option for the Z4 on the BMW "Build Your Own" webpage.

I've just ordered a new M40i in the UK and was told the badges were not available until at least june/july. I'd lose my build slot so not going to bother but might look after delivery if they become available.

It's interesting that even the 20i has the M badge on each fender but, no surprise I suppose. BMW had been diluting the "M" for years.

I am only putting M badges on the brake vents because of the fact that it's on every other damn car outside of the US. lol |
