Has anyone sold their guns to cabelas, sportsman's or bass pro? I don't want to deal with ffl transfers and my local chains all buy guns for cash or store credit. I went on a buying spree last year and have two many. Lol. Seems easy except I'm sure I won't get fair price per se.

There are gun stores that do consignment. I'd call around to see if how much % they take of the sale. I think Cabelas does consignments. I know a local pawn shop here that does consignments as well. Online sales like GunBroker would work too. You don't have to deal with the FFLs if you have to ship.. but shipping costs for a non-FFL for handguns is expensive since shipping companies want you to ship overnight for handguns. Note you can not ship using USPS unless your a FFL. |

I've build a 80% AR and done a couple of legal 3D prints. 80% with a jig and a Bridgeport works great. 3D print I have done a couple and they worked. They will eventually break, but mine haven't since I improved the original model by CAD'ing more material to help not break it.. and not make it look strange/ugly.

This year so far hasn't been going smooth.
Picked up a KH9-SD pistol (1 of 400 imported into the US): the trigger mechanism dead. Sent it back to B&T. Likely trigger mechanism was assembled incorrectly. Water Heater leaked. Caught it early but it flooded a section of the garage.. found one of my MG's was sitting on cardboard.. but fortunately it didn't soak into the stock. It just surface rusted the steel buttplate which I fixed already. Couple of Suomi parts kits cardboard boxes got on side soaked.. fortunately the stocks didn't get damage. It did absorb some water, but not bad. A friend drops my Thompson drum, fully loaded, and dents it. Fortunately it still runs great.. but annoying. Fortunately it was one of my cheap ones so I'm not super mad at him. My BMW X3 probably had a hobo go into it due to the stupid back trunk opening up. A known issue with X3.. caught my trunk open 3 times so far since I've own it. It has to deal with FOB.. easy to mash the buttons. Found some gunk on the back seat right after the incident. A good guy closed the trunk for me who told the restaurant owner.. who I was friends with.. so I found out about it. Ugh. Well it can't get any more worse right? |

On youtube there's an guy that designed something really different. If I can find time, I might want to try to rebuild his design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9pzS4icink&t=7s |

budget friendly Browning Buckmark, less budget friendly S&W Model 41, or 617 revolver
The Buckmark is fantastic, a bit of a pain to clean, accurate, reliable, fits the hand nearly perfect. If you can find a 7.25” barrel get it, the 5.5” is great, and really all you need, but I think the 7.25” is the sweet spot. |

What's your budget like? Volquartsen makes some really good ones. I like the Black Mamba but haven't shot it.
I have a Mini Mamba.. and that gun is sweet with a suppressor. |

I love guns. I build AR's for my partners; it's akin to playing with LEGOS to me. I have ammo stockpiled and own everything from full sized AR15's/AR10's/AK's to AR pistols, shotguns, etc. I recently built a "frunk rifle" for the 992. I will have it with me always, along with my off-duty carry that I keep on my person.
