CTek charger install, no joy.
As I've done in the past with my C6 Corvettes, I wanted to install a magnetic disconnect for my Ctek charger.
After connecting to the charging posts in the engine compartment the wiring is snaked through the front grille to the magnetic connector mounted on the grille. Unfortunately, I could not find a clear path to run the wiring to the grille. Although I removed a black trim piece running parallel to the fender I wasn't about to partially remove the front fascia to try and gain access There appear to be motorized vents that span the entire width of the grille and also lower air inlets. I assume their used to restrict air flow while the engine is cold. If anybody has some ideas for mounting, I am all ears. Pix. of magnetic connector: |

Thanks for pointing that out, hadn't thought of that as an access point.
Next question, how do you remove the cover without damaging the finish? I note that spot is adjacent to a proximity sensor. |
