My Z4 had to be towed due to an upadate error. It was towed in a truck bed and we used the towing eye to get it in the truck
The Z4's user manual refer the vehicle should not be towed with one axle raised and that the towing eye is for the car to tow or to be towed ( with the help of a towing rope ) |

I guess your pickup is a manual? Drop driveshaft on Z4 and go for it. I tried Rving a few years back. Free towed a Mini Cooper. Your free towing a pickup? God bless you. That Prevost must be powerful.

The Ram truck is 8 speed automatic and 4 wheel drive. I can put the transfer case in neutral for towing. Most Prevost buses can tow up to 20,000 pounds so the truck is no problem.
I would not want to tow the Z4... too nice. Might put it in an enclosed trailer and take it with me. An enclosed trailer makes a nice mobile garage... ![]() |

I like the enclosed trailer idea.Who wants to drive a pickup while on vacation. My wife likes your setup with towing a sports car. However for me i would separate the driver area (privacy) and hire a driver. Then i can enjoy the long drive in luxury

I love road trips. That being said, I don’t see how driving anything larger than a Sprinter from place to place can be fun. Just seems like hassle after hassle unless you have someone driving it for you while you sleep or do other stuff.

Driving a Prevost bus is a hoot. The technology is top notch. Cameras everywhere, MobilEye, air ride suspension and driver's seat, etc. These vehicles are designed for the driver to be comfortable for long periods.
Especially in the USA, with wide open interstate highways, I find it just as comfortable as driving a car. Obviously don't do city driving or back country roads. |

If you don't mind driving that monster while towing a pickup truck. Than you should absolutely consider taking the Z4. Whilst its not my cup of tea, you enjoy your Motor Home while vacationing (i'll bet its nice in there) driving doesn't bother you. You get to your destination and instead of rewarding yourself with the Z4 you get into a pickup. Get a trailer!!! Go FOR IT
