Feel bad for the families who had to get the news, but not for the dipshits that think they are invincible. Just glad to see they didn't involve any other innocent people in their mayhem.

Speed doesn't kill, rapid deceleration is the problem.

Exactly right. If it were really true that 'speed kills' then you would have to be pretty stupid to want to be a racing driver, or a pilot.

Indeed. Except there is no such thing as deceleration, it's all acceleration.

I view this as natural selection in play here. In the wild, when parents know that their offspring can't make their own way in the world, they snuff the life out of them before they consume precious resources. Whoever said that mankind was civilized had no idea what they were talking about.

Once again, it is clear that you will drop your chances of death by avoiding the roads after midnight (no problem for me at my age). That's when the berzerkers are at the wheel and often they take others with them.

lots of harsh responses, which is understandable, but being around motorcycles I have seen too many die too early. Stupid or not, no one deserves to die from this type of mistake in judgement. rip

Very unfortunate for friends & family. All we can do is pray for them and learn from this.

It's even worse when the poor judgment of others leads to innocent lives being impacted.

Personally, if you're going make really poor decisions, you deserve to pay the consequences in direct proportion. It doesn't take a genius to know right from wrong.

Could turn out they were only doing 100 and lost a tire. Hell, who hasn't ripped up to 100+ in the wee hours when there's nobody on the road? But doing it without a seatbelt on? With other people in the car who you're responsible for?
