Front secretary said she was coming as a crazy cat lady, so we all needed to dress up as cats.
Other one actually came as a cat (pointy ears, painted whiskers, tail in her belt)

Me, I came as MAYHEM the cat!!!!! Complete with collar/name, and the butterfly bandage on the forehead. I've taken to knocking things off peoples' desks, just to be an ahole/myself-unrestricted.

I do nothing at work (in fact I take the day off), but I certainly do Halloween.

First saw the pic and gave an appropriate then saw the vid and was compelled to post. Great job, a lot of work but very rewarding to see everyone enjoying it.

I had med appts today, so I was out. But I was stunned at the traffic created by helicopter parents chauffeuring their kid around in cars tonight. One neighborhood I drove through was practically bumper to bumper with cars shuttling kids around. WTF? We used to walk and would NEVER have allowed our parents to drive us around.

Update: I have recently found out that the entire idea to celebrate Halloween at work was decided by the lady in the picture. Today we had a costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest and desert contest. People did bring in snack food and set up in the break room, however; Ursula was the only person who wore a costume, the only person to bring in a carved pumpkin and the only person to enter a desert into the contest. This is what not getting enough attention at home looks like.
Also a good opportunity for a real bank robber to get some action.

Is there a Grinch for Halloween? There seems to be a few on this thread.

My development moved Halloween to today and for good reason. The storm front that blew through caused all sorts of havoc. When you see lightning and the weather services are putting out a tornado watch, that's good enough reason to move Halloween.

I going with my standard Stig or Pilot costume tomorrow for a party but I don't dress up at work. I did go to the in-laws house last night to help hand out candy. They live in a historic neighborhood full of late 1800's homes, and the police shut down the streets for the kids to trick or treat. We handed out 2500 pieces of candy. It's an awesome sight with all the kids running around, fully decorated homes, and the leaves falling. It looks like a scene from a kids Halloween movie.

After handing out candy at my dads we walked out and got in the car, covered with a fine layer of snow. Then we started driving and I looked at the temp. 60! Then I noticed it was ash from the fires. Pic is from the frontage road at the end of my block Nov 1
