LOL! I am with you. I want to support local businesses but at the same time I still need to make sure I am making sound financial decisions.

Well, the sound financial decision is to not buy a new car and to buy a used one instead in a few years. That lets someone else take the big hit.

That’s what I usually do, but in this case there are no older used ones. You could always get a 2017 Boxster S instead with some miles on it if you’re looking to save a lot off retail. It was definitely something I considered, but I’ve had a few Porsches recently (2014 Turbo S that was eventually modified for Stage 4; a first generation GT4; and presently, I have a 997.2 GT3 RS in the garage). I’m sort of sick of Porsche for the time being (their GPS is garbage...).

Curious if BMW FS will lower the money factor in Q2 as a result of the Fed cutting rates. Also if BMW will increase incentives in Q2, assuming overall lower demand.

After seeing the maintenance costs on these things I would never buy one used, even with CPO.
A used Honda or Toyota? Sure.
But not a BMW.

My credit union has 3.09% APR as of last week so rates are definitely favorable right now.

Also I just got another quote, not exactly the options I wanted but maybe ok.
$69k sticker
$62k price
$3k various rebates & incentives.
Takes me down to just over $59k before tax & reg, which seems like a better deal.

Nice! How did you manage to get $3k rebates and incentives? You are getting the BMW CCA rebate?

No, but I was thinking of trying that too.
One is supposedly a rebate for using BMW financial (2.99% APR), another is owner loyalty and another is my company participates in some BMW corporate buying plan (though that's only $500)

Paid mine for SGD286888. Which is close to USD200k. Yes, this is the kind of crazy price for cars in Singapore.
Mine is a Misano Blue 30i

Garage List
2020 M40i

$70,505 MSRP Price after discounts & rebates $59,000 MF .00142

Rebates do not include the BMWCCA $500, need to send in the paperwork or the BMWFS unused mileage refund, around $300+ which comes as a check.

Satisfied with the deal as it was the exact car I would have ordered so I did not have to settle for anything. Build month was 1/2020

Thought I'd share my experience. 2020 M40i Blue, Top upgrade (forgot what its called) 18's with Michelins 255/275 tires, different from what i read online here.

has Star Gard sirius etc. A lot of useless upgrades i saw on the builder I didnt need so I found this leftover and offered $57k. The dealer accepted it.

What was the sticker on the car?
They still have 2020's on the lots?
Or is it used/demo?

Brand new. Sticker was 67k. I will confirm when I find it.

Dont know about stock since I only had my eyes on this car. call them up BMW of Portland. It was a leftover, covid, 1.9% apr financing. Middle of winter (car came with summers) all those riots in portland going on. Im sure lots of things helped with it and I flat out said Ill buy it for this today. They took it. all through emails. I think like 3 exchanges lol.

I was originally looking for a new 30i but I got lucky in July, I found a loaded CPO 2020 M40i with7K miles on it for $55,500 about 10 miles from where I live. The original sticker was $72,000. The exact color combo I was looking for too.

I paid to ship it. No Amazon Prime with this one unfortunately.

I paid $1550 open from Portland to Florida.

I moved from NJ to Florida and to ship 2 cars in an open container was $650 each. So I figured $1550 is reasonable across the country.

I factored that into the price and it was still substantially cheaper than any of the Z4s in the Northeast. Also there was no stock in the south east for any Z4s.

$72K for a 30i?? Thats what an M40i costs.

$1500 seems fair for transport, especially if it was enclosed.

For 2 cars. I got open air quotes anywhere from $650 to 1,200 from SoCal to central Texas. So competitive I had to put the moving companies in my junk drawer.
