Buy the Z4 M40i now, or wait for a better deal?

Negotiated and got the price I wanted to lease a Z4 M40i and was planning to sign and pick it up this weekend.

Should I hold off until next month or so?

Get it now, enjoy the empty roads given that its a good deal (13.3%) off MSRP after incentives and probably a push to meet their Q1 numbers. Car has also been on the lot for almost a year.

Or, lose this deal and take the chance I can get it cheaper in Q2? Assuming lower money factor due to fed cutting rates?

You will get much better rate next month. Discount should be similar provided there's enough inventory which should be the case since it's been there for over a year.

We are in the same dilemma. Push for more discount now or wait for more incentives...

I've submitted my credit app and they've already ran my credit.

Am I locked in for March incentives / rates in the event April incentives go down?

If you wait a month maybe no one will be there to sell it to you due to quarantines...

↑ I think this may be a good point, especially given stories about BMW production: https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/20...lants-go-dark/

(My lease is up in December, and I was planning on placing a Z4 order to coincide with that. But now I’m getting nervous that there won’t be anyone to take orders.)

December is a long way to go. If we are still don't have the virus under control, buying a new car should be the last thing on your mind

Our lease is up in June. Fortunately there are two Z4s in the area that have the options we want so we don't have to order. If the dealerships close down before we get a new car, we may try to extend our lease with BMW.

Hopefully it won't come to that. I am staying hopeful

Deals were too good decided not to wait. Picked up a Black on Black M40i today. MSRP $70,505. Deals Capitalized Cost with discounts & rebates was in the high $50K's, car is a January 2020 build & had 18 miles on it. Am plus $30 a month over the 2018.

Had planned on a 2021 order but the local dealer had the exact car I would have ordered.

Let me bring it home overnight & was able to cruise some two lane blacktop moonshiner roads. Took it back the next morning & leased it.

Will do the Tail of the Dragon when the breakin is done.

Keeping my 440I till its lease runs out in June. Owe two more payments.

That's impressive! How much did you put down if you don't mind sharing?
