Bmw needs to chill on this crazy design language. I miss the old Bmw styling where everything was simple :/

Sad but true? I'm sure there isn't one Z4M owner who is sad he or she has one of 1815 Coupes sold in NA. BMW actually sold about 4300 M Coupes world wide...1815 were sold in North America

I'll never really understand the deviation of concept to production. Exterior alone, it's simply a matter of bending metal/aluminum and molding plastics/CFRP. No more difficulty either way. My guess is BMW thinks concepts are too eccentric for the masses. I happen to love their concepts, well most of them [looking at you X7]. Meh.

The concept doesn't but that magazine render sure does. Just awful.

Yeah, and they only sold 2,800 Z3 M Coupes, yet still launched the Z4 MC. As long as the roadster sells, they can offer a coupe.

I followed an E89 this morning, it sure isn't a sporty looking car. There was a Boxster nearby that looked 5/8 scale in comparison.

6300 or so total Z3M coupes were made world wide...2800 M coupes were sold in NA according to BMWMREGISTRY.COM...and they are really starting to move up in value. Even the coupe 2.8 or 3.0 non M cars are not cheap...great little cars as well. I'd love to have one parked next to the Z4M coupe one day

Oops, was referencing a US only site, 6,291 total. I had mine for 14 years, the only BMW I've owned that I really loved (looking at you, sad F30). I test drove the Z4 MC a number of times and various Caymans and always enjoyed mine more. Plus it would carry a keg, like it was designed around it.

The new "Supra" and Z4 will use the same engine, but the Supra, from rumors, looks like it will pick way more punch, and the styling looks way more aggressive. Like why?

I think the new Z will be recived very well with it's fanbase, about the same level as the new 8 i think. The E89 was not very impressive or sporty, this is pretty much back to E85. About the ZM, Let's wait and see, the real deal are going to be shown real soon, then let's judge it.

I own no garage queens. If it's in my driveway, it's been ridden hard and put away wet. ...and now, with a light crust of Maine road salt.

You'r right when compared them they look so different. But when I saw this z4, first thing went to my mind was f-type
The new z4 looks better than the F-Type convertible, which says a lot.

Have you actually ever driven a roadster with MT on twisty roads with the top down? It's the most fun driving experience you can have for the money, and you don't even need to drive that fast.

Lol quick reach. The z4 won't even look better than the lesser brand that's releasing the "same" car

To be fair the Supra is the more famous, more important release between these 2 cars. The Z4 is sort of along for the ride but the Supra has a long history behind it and it's resurrection is a MUCH bigger deal so it's not surprising it's design is more dynamic and bold.

I know. I, too, would rather have BMW make a Coupe. I'm not a fan of Toyota's design language. (though I'll reserve judgement on the upcoming Supra until I see one in person)

I can imagine BMW with Toyota in a room saying "OK, you guys build the coupe, and we'll build the roadster. Agreed? Good. Let's do this."

I miss my Z4 M Coupe.
