I'm going to the eye doctor tomorrow too. I'm getting sick of contacts. Tempted to start looking into Lasik eye surgery but I don't know how I feel about having my cornea chopped open.

I do agree with his do not skimp... I feel, Lasik might not be a wise decision to do one of them - "special discount pricing of $399.99 per each eye !! We accept all major credit cards and EBT cards as well..." Type situation... You get what you pay for...

I'd check craigslist for reputable surgeons however... Under the barter section...

I found one on craigslist. He's going to charge me $2k for the whole job. I don't even have to book an appointment with him. I'll just swing by his place after work and he can do it in his basement.

My script is only -1.5 in contacts, so it's not like i can't get around with out lenses.

Is sand in your eyes any worse with contacts? Seems like they'd offer some bit of protection, a shield of sorts.
