You're missing out man, Bred 1s with jeans, white tee and black/red flannel is fuego

Mine are 2016 too, used to wear them a lot, not so much now
Lol I used to be a sneaker collector. I slowed down the last few years though, it's an expensive hobby if you never wear them and only collect. I have like 25-30 pairs of Jordan's and id say like 20 are still on ice, only worn like 5-7 pairs of them.

The bred 1s are my favorite Jordan, along with the infrared 6s (have 2 pairs) and bred 4s. I'm a huge fan of the black and red look. Only reason why I've never worn my bred 1s (and I got many 1s), is because I just can't imagine how I'd feel once they crease eventually or if they got a scuff or got dirty. It's truly my favorite sneaker of all time.
I respect that, if I could still afford that hobby/passion I would. Would you mind pulling them all out on display and take a pic? I'd love to see what you got!

I have to agree with you the red/black is one of my favorite color combos next to red/white. I always thought my favorite color was blue but I always gravitate towards red. Painted my SBs as a tribute to the Chicago 1s, on my second pair of Red/White Old Skools, etc. As far as scufs/creases go, I was always just super careful. The Bred 1s are my all time favorite as well. So much so I wore them weekly. I like the creases with tumbled leather, gives it character. If the red panels were smoother I would have been a bit more anal. The furthest I went was having a microfiber and cleaner on hand to clean them any time they got dirty. They've stayed pretty clean, not perfect, but clean.

A few years ago when I was still in high school (the starting of "adulting" is why I can no longer afford sneakers lol) I was at that hypebeast level. Clout fueled my ego so I was always making trends there. First with Ultraboosts, Jordan 1s, etc. It'd always catch on a month or so later when the underclassmen copied my style. It was flattering. Good times.
My love for sneakers started back in HS as well, although thats a very long time ago! (this is WELL before they were releasing the packages if you remember those lol)

To me it was never about wearing the newest Jordans or being a "hypebeast", I'd wear the retros that I really like. Sometimes I'd wear a sneaker that released like 10 years ago and if the people who know their shoes notice, I'd usually get a compliment on them or they'll start a discussion which I do appreciate. This was all mainly during my college days.

My priorities have changed now ofcourse with age, and even though I do wear some occasionally, it's mainly all black roshe runs for comfort or my all black or gum bottom 1s lol. I don't get new Jordans really no more, no time to keep up with the releases nor do I need any more. Alot of the sneakers are at the storage unit, so if I get the chance to get them all and take a pic I'll be more than happy to post it and tag you.
I think I'm young enough to have no idea what those packages are Mine started off after trying to dress better. Basketball shorts and hoodies every day weren't reeling in the chicks lol. Switched up my style and shoes became a bigger part of that.

After all that and focusing my priorities more on my car and living in general I've just had my small little collection I posted earlier. Though the only shoes I wear now are my beater vans (I fabric painted the worn out red ones black and bought a new pair of red ones) alphabounces for outdoorsy stuff, and some TJMaxx adidas for anything I can't bother the other two with. lol.

And yeah whenever you get back to storage I'd love to see the collection! Still a sneakerhead, always will be, moneys just not there right now for obvious reasons.

I used to think my Y-3 Yohji Run were so comfortable (surpassing the ultraboost as well)

However, I think these are my newest most comfortable shoe. I don't get the spring or boost that I got in the Yohji Runs but the overall comfort level is superior.

Those shoes reminded me of Larry David, haha

I found this article which has some gems in it.

The scene with Larry David and the guy at the bowling alley is funny.

Those are those 3D printed soles on the Adis...I was in touch with the company that makes the printers for those. Pretty cool technology.

Currently rocking Allbirds Runners

What model is that? Which one is the most comfortable? I’m looking for a comfortable, light pair of adidas. Thanks.

Never mind. I found them. Thanks.

I can too. Its still interesting to see a company who makes skid steers and excavators, make fashionable shoes and pull it off.

There's the exact link to the ones I posted earlier

Thank u.

They look ok but a little girly from side profile IMO. Specifically where Caterpillar is written diagonally.

That's what I thought at first as well. I can see it working with skinnier men compared to larger men tho

That was my first thought too & then I said nah. If it were Komatsú making them I would buy a pair for my husband😂

Yeah, they are a little to slim of a profile unless you like skinny jeans.
