Very subjective but I prefer the round black chrome tips on my s30i over the rectangular tips on the M40i but quad tips would certainly look great too.

I'm still running in so I haven't heard it at it's best. I'm happy with my decision.
Pics and video or it didn't happen

Actually, it’s not subjective but objectively way better! With all the great curves of the sheet metal on the rear it needs round tail pipes.

This is the exhaust I have on mine. Sounds great. Made by a reputable South Korean company.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/12590852380...waAoWqEALw_wcB

The exhaust system includes a valve actuator and two remotes at no additional cost. the pictures/video shows the cables going into the trunk from the exhaust but that was only to show that it works. The cable will have to be rerouted by you whichever way you want.

That does sound good and deep. The amount of pops seems like a lot. Any issues with excessive droning on the highway? Did you buy it direct?

Mine doesn’t pop as much as in the video, I’m sure they made some other modifications to increase the amount of burbles. As for droning on the freeway, barely notice it at all. I bought it direct from the seller. He used to work for the company but now has his own and is an authorized seller. I reached out to him on instagram and he was pretty responsive with any other questions I had.

His IG is partscombined. Goes by the name JC.

Makes sense, the exhaust may change how they sound, but their frequency of occurrence, duration, etc. would be software based. For older BMW's, at least, and maybe the G29 Z4, MHD can be used to alter these things.

Yup. I haven't changed the frequency of my pops so mine is still the same.

I agree and all that the designers at BMW had to do was look back at a great looking “Z”! 😉
