Anyone else get ticked off by all the fuel economy articles?

On my daily check of caranddriver.com i saw another article about fuel efficiency... while some mags such as Automobile or car and driver make these articles interesting, I'm getting tired of seeing so much of it. Anyone else feel like this?

I do like these pictures in this one though

I love 'em.

I can't get enough of the man-on-the-street interviews at the gas stations. They always ask the the guy pumping gas into his SUV "So what do you think of the gas prices?" The response is always soemthing about the prices being too high. Gasp!

Those hard hitting interviews can be filed in the no-sh!t folder along with "airport is busy" stories I see during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Ticked off? No -- why on earth would I be?

Frankly one of the reasons the 1-series appeals to me is that even though it's a driver's car, it still gets decent MPG -- better than my current sedans.

I do agree that man on the street interviews are a total waste of time.

Regardless, the original poster must love this site....

Fact of the matter is, people need to be told that sports cars can still manage decent mileage. If the sales drop, our options become more restricted, and that's not a good thing IMO.
