Was just curious about this. Is there anything you wish you'd gotten/had not gotten? What about your color choices?

I've had mine for 5 months now. I like the SFR, but I kinda regret not ordering it in Thundernight.

There are a few things I would change, but they are design changes, not options:

I would like the cup holders to be somewhere else. They are not very handy in the current location. It doesn't affect me, but it annoys my wife.

I don't like the display, especially the map. It should be about 2" to 3" taller. The map would be easier to read.

Last, I would like the S58 engine, just because. I don't have a good reason.

I'm adding another one to the list: automatic software and map upgrades, directly to the car. If Ford can do it, why can't BMW?

Unfortunately the S58 will not fit in the Z4 according to their Design Director, Adrian van Hooydonk

And tell your wife it’s better not to drink anything besides water 💦 in your lovely Z4…

Haven't gotten mine yet, but the cupholder situation is definitely not something I'm excited about.

I also would have liked to get ventilated seats and a 360 camera.

Yeah the camera part is a valid request considering the price point of the car

Yeah, I know the S58 won't fit. It would just be for winning the automotive "biggest dick" contests at local car meets. I have no real need for it.

My wife takes her damned water bottle everywhere!

If they offered black brakes calipers, the purple might look way more cohesive

A 360 camera is needed. 👀

The option for Michelin Pilot 4s tires from the factory should be offered.

Also, a clear wind deflector would have been a nice option.

Agree with a lot of these (especially the ventilated seats).

The cupholders don't bother me that much, but I'm riding solo 1/2 the time anyway.

She has a net on the drive tunnel prefect for her water bottle.

I must admit, I take mine everywhere too. I have several of them. Got to stay hydrated.

The problem with the larger engine, which includes extra cooling, etc. is it would change the weight of the car drastically, making it more front heavy and it’s currently 50-50 weight front to back..

IDK about you guys, but my car has a tough time putting the current power down from a standstill sometimes.

If I had a car with the S58, I'd get the xDrive version just for that reason.

Yes the M40i will absolutely roast the rears off the line with little effort

They're not my first choice, but I can live with the cupholders. They are a step (albeit small) up from the E89 cupholders. At least the driver still gets a small elbow rest, unlike the E89 where you get the hard plastic edge of the console.

Ventilated seats and the 360 camera would be at the top of my list. I've gotten real used to them in the X5.

+1 on ventilated seats and a 360 degree or front camera to avoid scraping the spoiler.

- more exciting Exterior color choices
- The ability to order individual colors
- 360 cameras
- ventilated seats

Yeah, individual colors would have been great. I would have loved this car in a yellow or Sunset Orange.

I'm amazed to read that the Z4 doesn't have a 360 camera option nor downloadable software updates.

The cupholder thing... I had a feeling that would be a popular beef when I saw photos.

I'd started a thread about trunk space (is it enough?) so I'm happy to see that it wasn't mentioned here even once.

I think the trunk space is actually great for a car this size. Also, car does have downloadable software updates, you just need to use the MyBMW app to get them.

Yeah, I back into almost all spots as well, for this reason. If you have the parking assistant, it works really well for this.

The 18" tires on the M40i have an effectively identical contact patch to the 19" options.
