1 series I Drive question

Hi All

Recently changed from a 320d to 118d. All good with the car, taking a little time, getting used to it after the 320 but I’m liking it.
In the 2 beamers I’ve previously had I’m used to leaving the car in eco and when I start the car the next time it’s still in eco but in the 1 series it reverts back to Comfort.
Any ideas why that is or is it just how this series does it?

I think all recent BMWs are in comfort at startup. Is a bit of a nuisance but so be it.

This thread, of course, has nothing to do with iDrive as the topic implies.
If it had a manual transmission, you wouldn't have to worry about what drive-mode it defaults to.
