Rear grip (lack of)

Right, I've put winter tyres on, it's around 4-5C, not icy and only a little bit damp on the road (although a bit muddy in places), I'm leaving it in Comfort mode and I'm not being too heavy with my right foot, yet I'm still getting the back end wandering out on a regular basis, especially coming off tight roundabouts

How's everyone else getting on?

Same conditions here.. and as you know I still have the factory ‘summer’ tyres on.
Not had any dramas out of corners or roundabouts - and driving sensibly but normal and in sport.
Have had back end move a bit with hard acceleration on straights in same conditions and in sport - but I would expect that.

Thanks. This is what I’m struggling with. I’m not using sport and I’m not accelerating hard but it’s all over the place. Only thing I can think is that we’ve got an awful lot of building work going on around here and there’s a layer of wet mud on the roads. It looks like everyone drives a two-tone car with the bottom half light brown so maybe it’s just that.

Standard comfort mode or individual?

Standard. I don’t think there is an individual mode for comfort?

The other thing that’s odd is that the DSC light doesn’t come on. I thought it would intervene as soon as the traction goes.

Thanks Chris. I've had quite a few beamers but nothing as skittish as this. And it's happening when I'm already on the move so I'm not sure if changing up would necessarily help.

It's going in for a couple of minor warranty issues next week so I'm going to ask them to check that the DSC's actually working.

I put 15mm wheel spacers on rear and its seems to help. Fyi my previous Z4 28i which didn't have much power had no problem smoking tires stock. With wheel spacers i couldn't break them loose.

Where is a good place to get these spacers?
