Hi There,
Just bought a 2020 San Fransisco red Z4 M40i. Picking up next week. Iread your instructions which are very good. I may be doing something stupid ( new to site) but I can't seem to see the pictures !Can you possibly send me a link to them or tell me how to see them .

They don't show automatically for some reason. If you quote the post to see the text, you can find the links and then copy and paste. Pain in the butt of course but possible if truly interested. Not sure if it's a browser thing or a forum thing to not show them but that's one way to ultimately see them.

I'm sure you're going to get various opinions on this. FWIW, I'm more of an OEM guy. Since I spent almost $75K on this car, I usually don't cheap out when buying accessories. With that being said, it is just a grill so I'm sure it's not that big of a deal to buy a cheaper version.

Personally I always stick with BMW supplied parts. Too lazy to research 3rd party companies and there’s a peace of mind factor for me.

Meh! They don't appear to be significantly different in appearance from the original gloss black grills, at least not enough to make it worth the effort to replace unless yours are damaged. Do you currently have the original gloss black grilles?

Lost this picture from an earlier post.

Used an old tool I had around. Placed a piece of blue tape on the working end to prevent scratches. Released the clips as quickly as you could move.

Think I still have the factory grills if anyone is interested.

Ali Baba? Knockoffs on my Z4.

M8 in dealers showroom. If it was a 2 seater would have bought it. 6 months old 3500 miles V8 at new M4 pricing. Grill Ali baba? copied.

I do have original gloss black, but have some rock chips on them. So, going to replace.

love your post, only problem is I can't seem to see the diagrams or pictures, How Can i view these. Got my car last week. love it! have a set of grills but my bodyshop wants to remove bumper to fit them. Help please !

See my post on the previous page. You do not need to remove the bumper or need any specialized tools. Just get a corner lifted and yank hard and they pop off. The clip mechanism is very stout, you won't do any damage.

I'm thinking of replacing my stock ones with the 'honeycomb' or vertical slats. I'd like to see the honeycomb in person, though (looks a lot more like the Fiat 124 spider that I had and really liked) to see if it fulfills the look I'm after.
