I don't believe that. If they made alot of GTR's the price would be reasonable. But since they're only making what, 2000 a year? Of course the markup is going to be ridiculous.

I'll take a Z06 with the same performance and same shitty interior for pretty much half the price. Even though it's not as exclusive. If I want exclusivity the last thing I'm buying is a Nissan, fast or not. I'm sure many wealthy (biased) people would agree with me.

Z06 still > * when it comes to bang for the buck.

So much for "997TT performance for half the price".

+1

At that price point, might as well get the 997 TT, the very benchmark for the GT-R

Nissan should just lower the pricepoint a little (low to mid 60s) and mass produce the GT-R...it'll kill almost everything in that price range, and they'll still make lots of money

That would be excellent for consumers and they will definitely profit heavily. But I'm sure they will sacrifice exclusitivity, which I'm sure is the reason for the limited production run.

129k for a Nissan. It's fast, yeah, so what? like herbz said, Z06's are damn fast too. And I actually think Z06 looks better than the GT-R.

The exclusivity at $129k for a Nissan is crazy.

If you can afford that, you can afford a 911 Turbo, GT3, Vantage, F430, Gallardo. Yeah, badge isn't everything, but to pay that for a Nissan and the service that goes along with it is insane. What's the loaner car, an Altima?

I don't understand why this is any different than when the PS3/Wii came out? There was a huge demand for them at the time (still is for the Wii), there was a limited supply, yet you didn't see Wal-Mart or EB charging $1-2k for them. Sure people bought them and sold them on Ebay for a huge amount, but the retailers themselves had to sell them for MSRP. Why doesn't that work with cars????

Yeah, cars are one of the few things in America that don't have a set price. People go to the dealer prepared to negotiate the best price. Yet, you don't go to the mall and haggle on the price of a pair of jeans.

I saw the title and thought it was an M3 GTR for 129k.
That wouldn't be too bad for a colector.
