Yep, FI will be inevitable in all combustion engines in the near future.

Not surprised, if you've not seen those Underground Racing twin turbo kits you should check it out.

Underground is local for me. I've witnessed highway runs, and they frequent our monthly cars and coffee. Amazing stuff... to say the least!

According to C. Harris, the F40 is the perfect sports car and if you haven't watched his recent comparo F40 vs F50, you gotta see it. As long as they can keep the V8 at least or start implementing their F1 V6s, they'll still be winners.

One of my good friends has a Lambo Gallardo with the twin turbo set up from Underground. His car is fast as shit.

I'm all for FI. I drive an NA X5 now and if someone showed up to my house with a FI 911 Turbo(S) or GT2(RS) I would punch them in the face and steal their car without hesitation.

+1...Everyones all like "boo turbo lag" without ever actually driving a modern turbo'd car. This isn't a Saab 95.

I used to have and track a '10 335i and on the street the turbo was not an issue. However, the track was another story. After the first session I never knew what I was going to get in terms of throttle or engine response. My lap times would be really inconsistent.

My favourite part was the video that had to be skipped to 50% because the whole first half was self-congratulatory dog jizz with slo-mo everything and 'turn it to 11' wonky graphics, clearly produced buy some fresh-from-college Mac Pro fanatic with all their visual literacy gleaned from 3D action movies.

Same - zero lag! And I assume the F will be even smoother!

I wouldn't go as far to say that it has zero lag. That is simply untrue. I was about to buy a turbo s before I bought my r8 and the main reasons why I didn't were because of turbo lag and disappointing engine/exhaust sound. A high revving naturally aspirated engine offers better throttle response, noise, and overall driving pleasure.

I've gone through a few modern turbo cars. Yup, there's still turbo lag.

that has nothing to do with the new engines.

what you think they are just going to put trubos on there current engines

Its going to be a brand new setup, and most likely less cylinders. Also will make no where near what those underground lambos are making ( 1000HP+). proably going to make the around the same power as current engines, but better on fuel.

So gos the way of the NA engines. FI is more fuel happy and they can jam way more power out of those little sixes.....but there is nothing like the sound of our NA 8's.

At least we sound faster.....and hell when you get in a NA 8 and press "start", it makes you do this
