Flutting top?

The manual says that:
At higher speeds, a vacuum produced in the vehicle interior causes the convertible top to begin to flutter. Increase the air flow via the
ventilation to prevent a vacuum in the vehicle.

Is it something HVAC can't manage on it's own in the Auto mode? More broadly, with the top up, what would be the max sustainable not tiresome highway cruising speed? Where one could still enjoy music or quiet conversation?

For what it’s worth, I’ve never had an issue with this, even going almost close to triple digits.

It sounds like a disclaimer they put in the manual that goes back to the days where ragtops didn’t have a tight seal.

Same, never noticed even at over 100. By the way imo, sweet spot cruising speed is 82-87 ish. At that point it floats and feels like 50.

I totally agree and if you are driving on a really smooth surface you feel like you are gliding. 😎

My rear window flutters at speeds over 55 mph, depending on window settings and usually occurs with the windows down. I have never had it happen with the windows raised.

Have rolled into low 100's on a interstate pass. Top is tight with no flutter. Have both Moonlight & regular, both are solid..

Exactly, when you pass a Porsche you can tell them to go flut themselves! 🤪

This language applies to Wranglers I’ve had! Recycled interior air equals high flutter. Change to non recycled interior the windows press out and no flutter.
