Where to get warranty except BMW dealership

My oil change, filter, blade, and other warranty just expired, and Chapman BMW of Chandler, Arizona, refused to pay for my services on November 11 even though my coverage had supposedly finished on October 16. Poor client support. I suppose they no longer want me as a client.

My question is, where else can I go to get regular tasks done besides a BMW dealership? BMW is really expensive. A sample set of four tires costs $1500 from them. $999 for a set of identical tires from Costco

For an oil change, filter change, and 40k inspection, they were asking for almost $800.

If someone has already discussed this, please provide me with a link to the relevant content.

reside in Queen Creek, Arizona

I believe dealerships will match prices on tires. At least I've seen it in the past.

As far as a BMW extended warranty, there is a member of the forums that works for a dealer that sells them at a significant discount from MSRP. If I can find him, I'll edit this post. I remember seeing him a lot when I was active on the G20 boards, so let me check.

Edit: Looks like there's a couple listed in this thread. May be worth reaching out to.

Have gotten Tire Rack price match & saved the shipping & install. Any numbers on the warranty cost? Still have a year left on the standard warranty but need to think about year 5 & up.

I don't know of any extended warranty that covers normal wear and maintenance. But, if you are looking for an extended warranty that covers repairs, the best coverage I have seen is Fidelity platinum. You always want a plan that spells out what isn't covered, not what is covered. Avoid CarShield. The biggest problems I have with extended warranties are:

1. They don't cover cars that have been modified. My cars usually fall in this category sooner or later.

2. Coverage is always 3/36, 4/48, etc. I drive 2500 miles a year and you can't get a plan for 4 years and 10k miles. Paying for 36k miles sucks.

In any case, I got the best rates quoted for Fidelity here: Michael Jordan - mjourdan@mossymotors.com

Sounds like you want a service package, not an extended warranty?!

I get all kinds of discount offers from my BMW dealer. Just got a Christmas card with discounts on uncovered items today. Oh boy! 5% off BMW service prices! What a deal!

Sorry, but I'm not feeling your pain. The terms of your service contract were clear. If you wanted it covered by BMW, you should have booked an appointment before October 16.

BMW is pretty good at helping with repairs required shortly after expiration of warranty but I've never encountered ANY car manufacturer willing to cover standard maintenance beyond stated terms. You're barking up the wrong tree.

Got the card but it was a flat $50. Will use it for my annual state inspection $35.

Am out of free service shortly will take the last oil change then take over the cars service myself. Should be coming up on Brakes soon.

I just asked my SA to price match Tire Rack on some run flat Bridgestone tires for my wife’s 2021 228i GC. Waiting to hear back from him. As long as he is close in price I will purchase them from him.
