USPS just delivered our IND Door Projector LED kit (yay!), but wanted input from those who’ve done the ‘simple’ swap…..Following their plain-as-day-swap on YouTube, but the amount of flex/force I see trying to remove the stock door LED is freaking me out. I obviously don’t want to bust an entire door skin, who would, lol. Am I being super sensitive, & the panel will be fine, or have folks had issues swapping the LEDs out?

I gave up for now, as USPS delivered late today, and I’ve gotta get it in for ceramic coating drop-off early AM, but prepping to tackle again this weekend once back. I guess I’m just asking for guidance and/or verification that the OEM module is indeed just a beatch, but all will be okay, lol. /shrug 🤷‍♂️

E; kudos to BMW though, other manufacturers trim pieces practically just fall off, lol, well built indeed. 👍

I have them but the dealer did the installation. I have no where near enough nerve to do it myself

Putting your socks and shoes on is probably harder

It’s that easy, anyone can easily do it

I had no problem installing them. I think I used a plastic tool rather than a metal screwdriver.

Quite easy with a plastic pry tool, toughest part is figuring out which end to pry out. It's been a year and a half since I did it so I don't recall exactly. I believe it would be difficult to screw it up.

I installed the genuine BMW projectors but installation of your aftermarket projectors should be no different.

So easy a caveman can do it like the commercial says lol. Use a plastic pry tool if you have one. If not get a set they will be helpful in the future.

I was a moron, trying to pry initial end towards outer door, (basing from vids), but it’s actually the inner side that pops out first. Easy-peasy once I figured that out, lol.

Had mine installed a while ago. Saw them for the first time tonight. Don’t often drive at night 😂

I know it’s a subtle thing - it’s just a light, and is that even necessary? - but it’s a nice little touch in my opinion. I have the ‘M’ logo in mine.

Necessary? No.

But it pleases me to have it and it’s a small indulgence 😁

I’m in the same boat. I had something similar on my A5 (projected the Audi ring logo), but they came on the car from the factory. People did think they were super cool the first time they saw them.

Its definitely over the top but why not do it anyway?

Way over the top. Was $20 from Amazon, installed early 2020, still running.
