Time from Order to Delivery

Anyone in the USA who’s ordered an s30i, how long did it take from order to delivery?

Thx for response. Dealer told you 8 weeks when you ordered?

My dealer told me 'typically 6 to 8 weeks from order'. But lately they seem to wait longer than usual at Bremerhaven and/or take ships that make many stops (such as the Caribbean). I ordered March 4, but it was already in status 112, and entered 150 within a day or two of ordering. If it arrives at dealership about 1 week after it arrives in Baltimore, it will have been exactly 7 weeks from order to taking delivery (at dealership April 22 or 23 hopefully).

Yep. When I ordered it my dealer said it would be about 8 weeks which I calculated to be today. She called me last week and said it was at the VPC in Brunswick and should be here mid-week so the initial 8 week guess was pretty close.

My dealer called yesterday. She said that they found a scratch on the lower bumper. It's been at the VPC since the 25th and the work order started on the 27th. I have no idea how long it takes to fix a scratch but I really hope they can get it fixed soon. This wait is killing me.

My M40i BSM is due to arrive in Port Hueneme by the middle of next week or so. I was told by the VPC manager during a tour there a few months ago that once it docks it usually a week before it will arrive at my dealership (customs, inspections, prep and other work items). It is received any scratches during the voyage it could take another two weeks. Praying for no scratches.

You do understand your responsibility to post pictures here the day you take delivery, right?

Love that color combo and want to see what it looks like!

I ordered yesterday and the status changed to "production begins" within hours. I'm hoping that means I'll have it sooner than expected.

m40i, white, cognac interior, cerium gray wheels, every option.

That's pretty much what happened to me. Dealer had car already ordered and he was able to change to my specs literally last minute.

Hope it doesn't wait on the port too long and takes a direct route to you!

Well it finally happened. The vessel carrier my M40i is on finally reached the USA at Port Hueneme California. It arrived this morning. My Z4 was built on March 4 and arrive here on the 13th of April. Not too bad considering my E85 Z4 took over four months to get here after I ordered it.

Shouldn't be long now. At least it on terra firma now and no chance of it getting wet.

It’s funny that it’s so hard to make a good picture of the Z4, yet the CAD drawing in “My Garage” looks so good! Or maybe it’s just the anticipation that makes it appear better?

That!
I am also looking at day to day progress... though it seems there is less detailed progress information from Magna Steyr.

Where are you in terms of order/making/shipping progress?

Keep in mind the online tracking system is a couple days behind. It will still show arrived at port or transit to dealer for a couple days after you take delivery. You may get a call from dealer Friday or Monday...
