Boomer's are the one's that put BMW on the map and funded thusfar. Ironically they made these electric cars possible with all the 3,5, and 7 series they have purchased over the past 29 years. |

"Shy Tech". What a stupid name. Give me a freaking button. I can't imagine it costs that much more to make a button than this crazy shy tech that will most likely short circuit or lose function.
Coupled with everything everyone has pointed out including complete loss of BMW design cues and loss of interior buttons and functionality, I have literally no desire to buy BMW's new offerings. |

Jeebus. "Hey, you. Yeah you. You're a nerd, a looser and OLD if you do not buy this product. Anyway. You suck. F you" Maybe their market research shows this will be bought by hip early adopting 40 to 50 year old men who are desperate to show they are not old because I'm pretty sure this kind of reverse psychology only works (sometimes) on toddlers. |

Adrian van Kook must have pics of someone on the board. Is he actively trying to sabotage the brand? This and everything coming off the line is behind the curve of the other German manufactures.

That's not true, MB and Audi are no better. The new S Class has a giant portrait screen like they're copying a Model S. Audi's are incredibly bland, also removed all buttons, tons of black plastic in the interiors. Neither brand's electric offerings have impressive range. At least BMW sells almost all of their PHEVs in NA, MB and Audi don't sell them here. In that sense BMW is actually ahead of them on electric offerings. It's just disappointing to see BMW follow the pack instead of sticking with their core values.

Consider the classic BMW formula: Elegant styling, good ergonomics, excellent road feel, excellent handling, and a smooth, refined engine. First, BMW killed their legendary road feel and handling with the awful Fxx cars, then they ruined their design language with the Gxx cars, starting with the 7er facelift and cumulating in the new 4er. Take away their lovely I-6, and what are you left with? Just another (ugly) luxury car. Put another way: what's the difference between the iX and a comparable competitor from Lexus (in the future)? Nothing except the badge. For the record, I'm 23, definitely NOT a boomer, and there is no way I will consider a BMW in the future if they continue to look like this. |

They're getting into base model cars. But you do make a point, maybe BMW feels this marketing campaign will get millennial hippies into their brand even if they can't afford the iX.

I've driven an M8 F92 and I went into it thinking I would hate the gearbox but it was the steering that upset me more. Obviously I'm biased but the F13 M6 Comp is the most powerful DCT, Hydraulic steering, RWD car that BMW will ever make and all I can think of replacing it with in a few years is an 812 Superfast at about 3 times the new price, nothing else excites me at all between the two cars. But then I'd need to buy a B5 Touring or something as well to have a practical car and I hate the idea of having 2 cars!

Sketch Monkey fixed the iX. See, not all young designers suck and have lost the meaning of design language and emotion. I think BMW is stuck with some bottom of the barrel designers after all the good ones left for other companies.

I can only infer from the car crash of a design that BMW does not want to sell to its existing customer base which is a smart plot to keep us buying x3 x5 x7 etc. |

What's scary is that I'm planning an X5 purchase after relocating in about 12-18 months but considering buying it now before they mess up the LCI or next gen design.
It shouldn't have to be this way.

According to BMW Design & Marketing teams, we'll also be shut up when the sales numbers of the revolutionary iX surpasses the Model X at around 20K yearly units.

It's kinda hard to believe this new IX came from the same car manufacturer that made this:
Imagine being the kid that grew up with praise from all his peers for his drawing ability in high school, being the star of art class in college, going on to be the top of his class in design school, then (Glory Hallelujah!) landing a dream job at BMW - one of the most beautiful car brands in existence today, only to get stuck on the IX design team. That must really suck.
