Saw LIFE again, first time I was distracted. It's not bad, and I do love a good bug movie. The lack of quarantine protocol made me sigh a bit both otherwise, good tense fun.

Fact based drama of Australians fighting for England during the Boer war facing a trumped-up court martial accused of killing POW's. They were following secret orders from Kitchener who lied in court under oath denying it. "These orders were issued''

The Power of the Dog… watched this on Netflix this evening. Really enjoyed it. Recommend.
Benedict Cumberbatch is incredibly talented and always gives a convincing performance, which was the draw. I knew nothing of the film, prior to watching. A slow burn, powerful story, with some very subtle plot threads, hiding in plain sight. Some uncomfortable scenes and characterizations. I would call it a “slow burn”, quirky or unusual drama. I can also offer a new genre: “intellectual horror”. |

I'm starting "Elves" on Netflix today since I'm on a double.
edit: 12/03/2021 I found a movie to watch tonight on YouTube called, "Hostile." It's an apocalyptic zombie-esque flick that has a touching ending. My only gripe is the movie didn't provide any context about what turned humans into the creatures exhibited in the movie. |

Honestly... This was NOT Ridley Scott's best effort. It was too slow burn and I did not like the whole telling of a particular instance, from 3 different perspectives.
I was surprised to see Ben Affleck. I almost didn't recognize him. 3/5 |

Waiting for the price to come down, but I keep hearing not-so-great things about it. And I like Daniel Craig.

So stumbled across T2 the other night and watched it for the first time in maybe 20 years. I never realised how corny the dialogue is but it still holds up well TBH.
What is massively coincidental is I just saw The Thing (1982) last month and well, well, well, the end of T2 is one of the all time great "tributes"! The endings are near identical. |

Agreed. Big Daniel Craig fan. Not saying the movie wasn't good, but I am saying I was not a fan of....well, anyone who is a Craig -Bond fan isn't going to like this movie. I may have shed a tear in the theater but I will not confirm this.

Is the CGI one? I saw some Resident Evil goodness and started it, then turned it off when I saw it was CGI.

This is the new movie that just came out a week or two ago; it's currently in theaters. It's a throwback to the original game. I enjoyed it!
