1987 Porsche 924s. The amount of money it took to keep that car running was absolutely obscene, especially considering that a Prius has as much horsepower now.

It’s saving graces were the amazing transmission and near perfect balance. Once you got the turd rolling there wasn’t a curve out there that slowed it down.

2002 325i. Total piece of crap that BMW finally did a buy back on. 12k miles and was in the shop 12 times. Not one area on that car was immune from issues.

There isn't really one but I've had 3 that stand out as utter pieces of shit-

1) BMW 335i - problems literally across the board
2) BMW 135i - problems across the board, shitty suspension dampening and the short body that makes it twitchy as hell
3) 2008 Honda Civic - expected it to be reliable, turned out to be severely unreliable
4) Mazdaspeed3 - holy shit torque steer, severe traction issues, clunky gearbox

2016 Volvo XC90.

The 'giant amazing' infotainment might as well be healthcare.gov - it is the most pathetic, prehistoric system I have ever experienced (word is they have updated)

Not to mention a vehicle this size needs at least a 6, AND and 8 cylinder option.

The standard 4 is pathetic and sounds like a dishwasher. Even w/ Polstar flash it's just awful.

1990 Pontiac Phoenix with a 2.5 four cylendar and a four speed on the floor. Wrecked before I owned it and it sort-of crab-walked down the road. It was horrible, but somewhat fun. That car taught me to wear my seat belt, without a seat belt you would be on the other side of the car on a turn (slick ass seats). After that driving without a belt on felt wrong.
For those younger readers, back in only a few years seat belts were not required. Heck I can remember helping remove the seat belts from mom's 1973 Capri.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quad. Alfa Romeo bought it back from me because they couldn't figure out why the engine kept turning off while driving down the highway.

The "worst" car I ever had was my 2012 VW GLI. It was absolutely soulless and I almost immediately regretted getting the Jetta over the GTI. I needed a car, the test drive was fine, and I truly thought I would grow to like it more but ended up going the other way. I only owned it for 11 months, and in that time it didn't break down once.

The actual worst car was my 1995 MKIII Golf Sport. It was a neverending pit of problems but I absolutely loved it at the time. 2.0L that leaked oil at alarming rates, brake issues, vacuum locks didn't always work, both of the front wheels were fused to the hub.

I'd still take another MKIII over the MKVI Jetta though.

1 word.....Granada.

I called it the silver lemon. It died anytime I made a moderate left hand turn. Lots of brake problems.
So I have everyone beat (for an american car) till someone chimes in about their Pinto.........

I pulled statistics from https://mcdonaldworley.com/
https://vacail.com/ https://weinsteinwin.com/ https://www.wintersandyonker.com/ https://gonzalezlevenson.com/ BMWs are the vehicles least shown for accidents where the car had something wrong. Nissan shows the highest rate.

Alfa Stelvio. Its my dads but I drive it every now and then. Hands down the worst overall build quality I have ever seen.

Windows stop working randomly
Fuel range is wildly inaccurate (start a drive with 80 miles range, drive 5 miles and says 20 mile range)
Radio gets interference under every bridge or overpass
random tape sticking out of trunk door
terrible infotainment system

I wish my dad hadn't leased the car and stuck with it for 36 months. Its definitely put me off from any cross shopping with the Giulia QF and my M.
