I noticed nothing different from the software upgrade so those waiting on it to push aren’t missing much.

Same here. First time there's been any delay installing an update. Due for service in about a month so will let dealer do this if it's still not installed.

Correction, PAY dealer to do my free over the air updates.

2nd or 3rd time it hasn't gone through, and dealer "can't" find the reason . . .

The My BMW app says the upload was successfully installed.

I can't give you an exact time as I started the installation, left the car and went inside a building to a doctor's appointment. I returned an hour later and it was completed.

I did notice two minor issues.

1) I definitely locked the door and the side mirrors retracted. When I returned to the car the mirrors were fully extended.

2) I had to click the box for the navigation to reappear in the HUD settings menu.

It’s quick. Mine was probably less than 10 minutes. Similar to what Westside Guy said, there were a few options/settings I had to ch age back (remote start and trip computer reset where the two off the top of my head).

I am another owner that has successfully downloaded the update but car has not notified me of intent to update. I closed all windows, etc, park brake on, car locked, jumped up and down while rubbing my belly per the manual, but no update. Sheesh.

There should be a little white progress bar on your screen just above the image of your car. It has to get to the end before the update starts.
