Arg! Inconsiderate jerks!

I came out to the parking lot today to find a door ding on my car. Some jerk must've slammed his car door into mine. Even left a small patch of his white paint on my door!

Like most people on here, I feel your pain! Wouldn't you just love to catch them in the act??

Hopefully a bit of t-cut (or the Canadian equivalent) will sort the white paint! Then a paintless dent repair??

I have a tiny bullet ding on my drivers door - happened within 2 weeks. Luckily it's not that noticeable. Hope yours is similar...

Maybe not noticeable to other people, but definitely so for me. Thanks for the comments. BTW, what's t-cut? Some sort of paint thinner, I presume?

That's one poor aspect of the new E90 design - no protection. The E46 had rubbing mouldings on the bumpers and side doors. I wish the new model had.

Agreed parking where others don't is a fine idea, but PLEASE don't be like the fools that decide their car is oh-too-special and deliberately park at an angle over TWO spots.

Mo-fos...murder should be legal in certain cases. Pisses the hell out of me when I see tards getting out of a car and throwing the door open full force before they swing their lazy ass legs out.

I park on the far side of parking lots and opt for the long walk. My girlfriend hates it but so many people drive big SUVs and park in compact spots you will get dinged if you are next to them.

I feel your pain.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I just washed the car quickly. Looks like the dent got as far as the clear coat and stopped. I guess I'll be using a "Dent Wizard". Can those guys fix even these small dings?

Also, it looks like I got some serious water spot problems. I had these small grey circles all over the car that were visible if you looked really closely.

So sorry to hear about your ding. I also try to park as far away from other cars as possible but sometimes you can not avoid it. The caravan of kids and inconsiderate people hopefully will not park next to me but sometimes I feel it is inevitable that I will get a ding.

Yes they had. And they were useless, as most such things are. Chances of somebody elses door hitting you in the rubber part instead of the naked door skin are minute.
The only thing those rubber patches were good for was protecting your door when you yourself swung it open into an obstacle. My E46 had plenty of door dings (really crowded and thight parking spaces in Europe) despite the protectors.

I hate it even more when I park my car far away from the busy
area to come back to it and see that an a-hole parked his
truck right next to me when he had all other stalls vacant..
on purpose or just another idiot?

F*cking A$$holes. I'd love to catch some jackass in the act. I'd follow them home and throw a rock through their living room window. Then I'd say "oops, I'm sorry" and drive off.

Does anyone know whether a "Dent Wizard" can remove this ding or do I need to get the door repainted? Thanks.
