Stoner's Invisible Glass
Before I use it though, I use a washmitt with soap to wash off whatever residue is on the windows and then I apply the Invisible Glass.

+1 on claying the windows, but just wash them with the same car wash soap. For the insides i just a dry microfiber.....
i always had streaking problems and i figured the less product i use the less product their is to streak on me

exterior side winows do fine with soap and water plus chamois cloth.
Interior windows like to streak due to ofgassing chemicals in the plastics. Water and chamois cloth plus lots of elbow grease will clean them. Do your rear view mirror too - you will notice the difference |

-wash your car with regular car soap
-dry with waffle weave if you have streaks, -quick detail your windows then -apply stoner's invisible glass or your favorite glass cleaning product -apply sealant (if you like) onto glass |

I've recently read good things about Surf City Clearly Better Glass Cleaner. Some say it is superior to Stoner's Invisible Glass.

I found last weekend on my son's REALLY dirty windows that if I am about to do tires with Poorboys' APC, I can hit the windows first to get all the grime off, then wash as usual. Worked really well to get the road grime off the exterior.

Ive tried Stoners from everyones suggestion and personally I do not like it (I use the spray bottle instead of the foam one I've seen in a can). I don't know what it is but it just leaves crazy streaks on my glass, and a layer of haze, maybe I bought a bad batch who knows. The only glass cleaner that really have worked for me without leaving haze film or streak marks is that Sprayway brand.

Try the Stoner's foam can..it works better IMO. And be sure to buff off with a clean MF after applying. I've had no streaking or hazing issues at all.

I agree, the Stoner's Foam in a can works really well for me. Only use with a dry, clean MF cloth. Once the cloth gets a little damp, use a different section. The dry part won't streak. Once it's damp, it can leave a haze.
I fold my MF cloth into quarters. Do a section of the window, turn the cloth over do another section. Turn the cloth inside out, another section, etc. If that's not working, maybe you have some sticky/oily film on the window. Maybe try cleaning with soap and water first. Then go back and try the Stoner's again. |
