I have AC Schnitzer springs on my z4 and the fitment is perfect. I also have 12.5mm spacers in the back and 8mm spacers in the front. Regarding Speed bumps, I am a bit more careful and now tend to use the outer edge of the bump much more often than before. The only real problem is leaving a parking lot/shopping square that is really elevated from the main road, remerging back onto the road usually scrapes the plastic pieces under the front bumper due to the incline, but as they are plastic it doesn't really bother me. As of right now (knock on wood) underneath the front bumper is scratch/dent free

One of the things I like about the G29 is a bit more clearance than on the E89 and especially the E85 Z4 I owned. I couldnt go anywhere in the 2004 Z4 without scrapping the front. Had to replace the skid place twice.
I understand modifications and its all about personal preference. I have spent a lot on modifications for my Land Cruiser especially the suspension, but that is to increase my clearance for the places I take it to. If this suspension gets you the Z4 performance you wanted then that is all that matters I am interested in understanding why you would want to lower the clearance on the Z4. I get it will reduce drag. Is it just for the track or is there another reason?

Your E85 had 4.3" ground clearance. https://www.autoevolution.com/cars/b...4-e85-2002-20i Also, CA tells me that by adding the MSport package it drops the ground clearance 11mm, or just shy of 1/2". I need to get verification of this but don't know where to go or who to ask. 2020 Porsche Boxster is 4.3" by comparison. |
