- you've driven it, and - heard it side-by-side with a 2.5 Subie, then a 964. (I think you'll find it sounds far more like the latter.) Until then, ignorant hatahs gonna hate ... Oh, and BMW doesn't dare go after the 718 because no other car on Earth handles as well that costs under $160k. How exactly are the penny pinchers at BMW going to make something better than that? As for the most recent rendering: As other posters have said, if it looks like that BMW will have a winner on its hands. But after the first year, I really hope it starts thinking about a coupe version, or sales will tail off quickly.
