Depends when he plans on carrying it. During winter I carry a CZ 97.

Anyone got one of the new Ruger-57s? Interested in that, as it is essentially a less expensive version of the FN FiveseveN

And better looking. Considering getting one after I move out of Va. at the end of the month.

But it makes me wonder about how any of them might behave in an emergency situation. If they only offer 15-20dB protection that might save your hearing or a year of tinnitus. Any research out there on the topic?

Those Staccatos are seriously calling my name, but I have to stay strong and resist. I'm renovating and my F30 has 110k miles.

My first rig. Officially 30 years old now. Bought the pistol with my own money. My dad got me the Bianchi holster. It has a little wear. Ruger P 85 9 mm. 15 rounds grandfathered in.

Yeah, it looks great. I have a FiveseveN, its fun to shoot, but the controls are a bit odd.

I am most excited about the cost of ammo being driven down...not that it will help much here in the Peoples Republic of CA

That was the exact same first gun I bought when I first started acquiring anything. God that was so long ago...shows my age.

I still have it although I haven't had it out in years.

Added one of the last few surplus Contract RMR HRS out there. Color actually is a close match to the slide, the rmr just has more brilliance that's why the flash makes it look lighter. Haven't matched a front sight yet

Truly the only thing you can cc IMHO is a 380 and even then you need loose clothing. You can cc anything, but they all print unless you're living in Alaska and can wear a parka every day.
G19 is fine for EDC CC. Crossbreed Supertuck for the holster. I know at least 4 different people who carry G19s daily and have never had an issue with printing. IMO it's a perfect carry gun, though some may prefer the new G48 for a slimmer profile if you're having problems with printing.

Been testing the 15 round Shield Arms mag for the Glock 43X/48 and so far only a few hundred rounds in with no issues. Have a range day scheduled for Friday to switch some people over to optics on pistols and plan on running more rounds through the mags inbetween sessions.

Do most member posting in this thread think the massive increase in concealed carry licenses is a positive thing for American life?

(I'm not referring to criminals who are packing vs criminals receiving training on proper technique.)

I grew up around guns and hunting.
