Yikes you are taking your life in your hands on a BMW.. I would get E-Castrated on even a Subaru forum. But I too use it. Its damn easy to put on. And since both my cars are white..shine is not a big deal. But it does last.

I bought a bottle of Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Goes on great over top of NuFinish. They may not be compatable. Who knows. We'll see how it works out.

Anyone use this stuff?

Meh, in a test most detailers wouldn't be able to tell the shine difference if the bottles weren't labelled.

How am I not taking care of my ride? Nufinish will last longer than ANY carnauba wax period. Therefore I'm protecting my ride more than any Euro snake oil. Work smarter not harder

I’m considering trying NuFinish, since I was a kid I’ve thought about but never used.
Think my days of 6 or 8 hours on a Sunday detailing are coming to an end.
A quick wash and wax in 90 minutes from now on.

James! Hahaha! Cracked me up...

My 500 mile new M240...

Wash/w 2 bucket
IronX
Wash again
Clay (really nothing much there, but wth, lol)
Small corrections/polish a few small scratches already there
Stripper/Paint Prep
Wolfgang Sealant (2X)
Pinnacle Souveran Carauba Wax (1X)
Wheels got cleaned, IronX, Clay, then CQuartz Dlux

Good for the winter! Gives me time to decide, PPF or Ceramic Coat in the Spring.

Couldn't even get the car cover onto the car, so slick, it kept sliding off, lol. Paint got a deep rich hue to it. Simply amazing!

I don't think it's the most durable, but PowerLock definitely creates the slickest finish, IMO.

I think the Meguiars Hybred Ceramic stuff may work. I have a collection of antique Cornets. I have given them many coats of the stuff. I did the hoods on both of my cars. We;ll see. Might be a gimmick.

I used Collinite a few months ago and its still on the car, but barely. It's lasted infinitely longer than any other product!

Meguiar's was always my go-to since their products are great, but theirs only lasts 3-4 wks.

Which Collinite did you use? I have 476 on the car for 4 month now and looks like I just waxed it

845. What's different about 476 besides the fact it's a paste?

I applied it in July. The car looks/feels like it will need a new coat soon. But 4-5 months of life under the California sun is exceptional.

476 lasts the longest, it has more carnuba than 845, hence its a solid paste. It can be difficult to apply if you put it on too thick but it definitely last long time.

476 - lasts the longest
915 - shines the best
845 is somewhere in between

I've used a lot of carnauba, but it sure doesn't last. Melting point of carnauba is 180 F. An 85 degree day can easily get the paint to that temp and we have days 20'degrees hotter than that.

I have been using synthetics and sealants for the last couple of decades to get some actual longevity, topped with carnauba for a little pop for a few weeks. Plus, who doesn't like a dusty car?

I'd suspect what many of you are seeing as longevity is really just your prep work holding up, not the actual wax. Try a synthetic, any will do. I'm partial to non sealants as I find the finish and optical depth of sealants to be a little artificial, but you sure can't beat them for durability.

The two are not exclusive... Ceramic coat is not a replacement for PPF. A coating will not protect against rock chips and scratches. PPF will. Ceramic coat is basically like a ultra durable wax - it's there to keep the car looking shiny and easy to wash. The hardness they advertise is not going to protect the car from rocks hitting the paint at highway speed or even brushes at a automatic car wash.

The best protection is to get both. I have PPF on all the front facing surfaces and ceramic coat over everything after PPF install. Then renew the coating every year.

I liked how 845 was no more difficult to apply than your average wax, yet lasts 4-5 times longer.

Waxing is dead. My washes with this Sonax spray and seal cuts down my wash time significantly with crazy water beading and shine. I will do every 6 months a coat of the Sonax net shield as a base layer.

Do you wear gloves when applying? Just smelling that stuff knocks a few branches off of your family tree.
