Had a call with BMW's Customer Experience Team

This morning BMW's Customer Experience Team called me to discuss my experience so far with my Z4 after owning it for almost 2 months. The lady that called was extremely knowledgable about their product lineup and I held nothing back.

I told her I was having a blast driving my M40i and it was everything that I had ever expected. That the car is absolutely stunning, it is a head turner and has all of the power I expected and handles beautifully.

I also shared with her a few minor observations/ complaints.

The way the cross strap of the seat belt cut into my neck.

The lack of integration of either Waze or Google Maps into the HUD.

The lack of the full tach display in the HUD that you see in their M cars. I asked her if their M Performance cars were a lower life form and not deserving of the full tach display.

One styling observation I had was that with the return to a soft top for their 4 series convertibles they should also bring back a navy color soft top for all of their convertible lineup. In my opinion there are certain car colors that look better with a navy top as opposed to a boring black top.

I also took the time to praise my dealership and gave them a perfect grade.

I had the same call from BMW on Wednesday and this morning I got this thank you "gift" from them ........... Quite sure I'll keep my current "M Power" plate frame and file this one!

Yep, I received one of those, I think it was at October Fest, but not sure. In any case the frame is in a box some where. I am sure I won't be putting it on any of my cars.

I just called their Customer Experience Team and spoke to the rep that called me on 10/29. I asked her why the shopping search tool on the BMWUSA.com website limits you to 100 miles for new vehicles but on preowned cars you are able to do a nationwide search. She did a search for both new and preowned cars and was able to see the 100 miles vs. nationwide search options and promised to investigate the issue and get back to me with an answer.

She understood my complaint that limiting you to a 100 miles radius for new cars made absolutely no sense.
