Totally speculative, but I would imagine the maintenance will be pretty high. I've had professionally built cars in the past, and they still break (especially with 700hp).
Good luck! Post pics of this beast if you move forward. Cheers, Tony

+1, except for having owned "professionally built cars" keep in mind the built car is only as good as the builder, and any custom parts/tuning that break/fail will need custom replacements $$$$$$, if you drive it, you will pay

I would also be curious why such an old car was so heavily modded so recently, it could be an ongoing project that just took on a life of its own, but (I believe it's evo, they do the crazy wide bodies don't they?) will rebuild wrecked car that they buy cheap, I would avoid one of those.

Hi E92TTKING do not be scare. This is a bullet proof motor that have been up 1000 whp with stock block so you are cover with that upgrades. You better go to http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/index.php to get real info of this car. I have a 2001 996 turbo with 30k miles and I'm preparing to do an upgrade to achieve 650 whp and that will cost more than $15K. I'm using also K24 billet turbos so your numbers may be to the crank. My recomdendation is to go and run the car if you are in love with it pay for a PPI(Pre-Purchase Inspections) on a Porsche dealer and go and enjoy your new ride.
I love mine |

Detune it for a bit more relilability and drivability. I couldnt/wouldnt handle 700hp daily or on the weekend. If its track driven then its a whole other ball of wax.

if ur stressing on funds dont buy/drive a 11yr old modded porsche. even if its modded by the best with no corners cut u will inevitably run into issues down the road and they will not be cheap.
