Misano Blue Thread
After weeks on the configurator I went with misano blue with ivory interior. I almost picked the black interior w/alcantara which would have looked awesome but went with the lighter color instead.
It’s a fantastic car and nothing like the E89. When set up right it handles like an M2 Comp but can be dialed back for a softer ride. Once you drive this thing in Sport plus with the trans in sport mode you’ll see what this car can do. I did a bunch of mods on my E89 but the car just would not rotate properly. Gave up and traded for this. Boxsters are overpriced, cramped and ugly. This Z4 design is different and to me it’s unique. Last edited by rikwynnpa; 08-17-2019 at 09:27 AM.. |

Thats a beautiful car and lovely colour choice you have gone for. I must have watched and read every single review I can find on this car several times over whilst I wait for my Z4 M40i to arrive. They seem to get really positive reviews on the whole. I can't wait to drive a car with proper handling again.
I know what you mean about agonising over colour choice. I changed my mind a couple of times over at least and have settled on the Sapphire Black, coupled with the black pack with the ivory leather. Even now I have my doubts but its certainly to late now as its on the boat over. The Z4 in my opinion looks fantastic in so many different colour combos which is a very good thing on one hand but it makes it impossible to choose on the other. Congrats, enjoy your car and safe motoring!

I'm curious about what you mean when you said that set up right it handles like a M2 Comp. are you talking about suspension modifications? Or just the adjustable suspension that the car has?

I think the OP maybe refering to the car handling and performing slightly better than a M2C. This is the opinion I have heard from some reviews on the Z4.

Love your choices and almost went with that! ordered frozen grey w the tan seats but went back and forth between that and the blue with the light seats. Came close to ordering new nsx in blue with same color seats as yours too but just too much darn $ and wanted convertible! This car a lot of reviews say its expensive but I think it is truly a heck of a lot of car for the $. That blue with those seats looks amazing! reminds me a bit of the M3s couple generations ago in the smurf blue that were also cool but your blue is much better......and those wheels are perfect for your combination.

Just traded my 435d Xdrive for an M40i.
Ex demo, 11 months old, 1,200 miles, tech, comfort, visibility & driver assist packs, £41k. Think it was a good price but the grin on my face means I don't really care. Absolutely love it, amazing to drive & a real head turner |
