I was coming back to Killeen from Austin tonight at about 1am. Was traveling north on I-35 when a late 90s 540i came up behind me and started swerving all over the 3 lanes trying to get me to race. He kept at it for a few miles going from the inside lane to the outside lane and back. I was keeping a constant speed hoping he's get bored and take off. He then pulls beside me with an empty lane between us and I hear my passenger side window shatter. I speed up and get the hell off the highway at exit 261 and call the police.

Don't know what they shot me with, but if anyone knows about 3 youths out at 1am in the area tonight, give me some names. There was also a black Audi of some sort following them. I think they were together. Looked like a new A5 possibly.

I'm not pissed I got shot at, I'm pissed I didn't get his plates!

Oh, i'm sure I was shot. Think it was some small caliber weapon. Maybe a 22 or even some kind of pellet gun. Either way they owe me a window

Most likely a pellet gun. The projectile of a fire are would have exited from the other side or at the very least cause some other damage. But yeh....wtf......... i hate kids doin shit like this.

remember it's only a side panel, not the wind screen. and a 0.3 gram projectile traveling at close to 1000 fps does pack quite alot of energy.

I had a window in my house broken by a pellet gun. The slug was between the two panes of glazing with a nice round hole in the outer one. The road is at least 40'-50' from the window so yes, they have some power.

Lucky I didn't see them because I would have followed them, made them exit the car and emptied my Mossberg pump into it just to show them how it's done.

That what I first thought. We were going about 80 mph with a lane between us. I don't think they could have had the throwing power to get something over to me with the amount of wind coming at us

In hindsight I should have gotten behind them and got their plates, but at the time I didn't have any idea what they were shooting at the car with. I didn't want to stick around if it was a decent sized weapon

Glad I was in last night. I have friends in APD if you have a police report number, I will make sure they investigate. There are cameras along I-35.

I didn't file a report. Wouldn't have done me any good since I didn't get a plate #. My passenger gave the car's description and location to the police dispatcher. Have not heard anything about it since.
