TPMS monitor message?
I keep getting a message asking me to check my TPMS "at my convenience". I have checked several times and tires are all 31 - 32 psi. I verified tire pressure reading were accurate with my trusty Milwaukee Tool tire inflator. Is there some reason for this message before I reset it?

Thanks for the replies. I did the reset. Does everyone follow the recommended tire pressures shown on the door? I ask because on my Porsche (997.2S) everyone ran 3 - 4lbs less.

I use the in-car TPMS monitor system as a guide, and it usually recommends 31 or 32 PSI cold at startup.
During a drive the actual pressure tracks to recommended values better if I start at 31 PSI cold at startup - at 32 PSI they're more likely to go 1-2 PSI out of the recommended range once they heat up, especially on a hot day. And I get kind of OCD when the actuals exceed recommended. But only because I think 31 PSI cold is a good compromise between performance, comfort, and fuel economy in the Z4 and the in-car monitor seems to know where that sweet spot is. I've always run slightly lower tire pressures on my motorcycles though for the sake of improving grip. |

If you are driving over 100 mph it recommends 38 pounds. |
