I had a 15 M235i which only got like 2 compliments and only when I had just got it.

Had a F82 M4 for a few months and got ZERO compliments.

Had a 19 M2 Comp for a year, just 2-3 compliments when I just got it and from fan boys.

My Z4 m40i. It's white with magma interior. I contemplated adding M style black mirrors to it but I did and it just matches this car to have M style mirrors more than any other. Also added black kidney grills similar to the black double striped kidney grills of the M8 (just type in 2023 M8 kidney grills on Google).

Also added red rim protectors around my black wheels to compliment the red interior. It looks absolutely unique.

My point is I've had the car for over 2.5 years and receive a compliment at least once a day.

I remember getting six compliments from obviously non car guys within 2 hours.

Just now within 3 minutes two different people complimented my car, it doesn't matter it could be teens, adults, men, or women. I've never had this many compliments before over my car.

My family owns a Lamborghini huracan in Dubai. When I went there to drive it, I didn't get nearly as much compliments as with the Z4.

Idk what it is, but I think we have something special here and id recommend to everyone not to sell it because the resale value will stay well or go up sometime eventually.

Anyone else get compliments? What's your compliment ratio with your Z4 vs your other cars particularly bimmers

White with Magma interior is striking! My 30i was specced like that and I'd always get people eyeballing it. It's the contrast. Same now goes for the PB/Cognac with red caliper M40i i've got now.

to be fair... a Lambo Huracan in Dubai is like a toyota camry here. so...

I’m moving from a Soul Red Crystal Miata to a PB/CVL Z4 which I should get in the next 3 weeks. The Miata got so many thumbs up and “nice car” that I’ve been wondering what it’ll be like with the Z4.

On two separate occasions, older ladies would ask what kind of car it (Miata) was. I would answer that it was a Ferrari just to see their reaction. I would then tell them the truth, of course.

Another favorite of mine is frozen Grey + magma/cognac, the light blue not PB + white/cognac is beautiful too
And Thundernight + white looks great too.

Yea wow so beautiful. I have been lazy and don't drive my z4 often, no more than 50-100 miles per month and don't wash it so it's mostly dirty lol. But everyone here seems to always have theirs clean.

You know the M bars on the kidney grills? Lots of people say "that looks ridiculous" but imo it actually makes it look even better. I don't think it's tacky. Tacky is adding weird logos or oversized spoilers or adding extra material to make the car wider, etc. Idk how to explain it but those M stripes look really good depending on the car. Obviously a base 228i fwd it would look off, but the Z4 is the best looking car in the line up. Lots of new reviews have been coming out for the z4 all saying how it's the best looking best driving car in the line up.

Also unfortunately I have blue brakes. Red brakes pop out way more and would look much better on my alpine/magma combo

My Z4 gets a lot of compliments, mostly from younger women. The cashier at the BMW dealer where I took it for service said my Misano Blue/black Z4 was her dream car. If I was 50 years younger, I'd think they were trying to hit on me.

Almost every single time I go somewhere I get a compliment. Sometimes guys yell from their work trucks. Almost every gas station stop. Anywhere and everywhere. McDonald’s. Starbucks. I think part of the reason is the rarity of the car, and part is the approachable nature. It’s a good-looking, fun car.

When I see one, I usually see the b48s. But when I see a nice looking m40, like the misano blue one, frozen Grey, or Thundernight, I can't help turn around and follow them.

My luck is so bad now. When I was in my early 20s id go around driving and always be driving in the same lanes as nice, fast cars.

Now, everytime I go canyon driving, I don't see anyone much less a z4, or supra, to drive behind or in front of, and the rare times I see one, they go in the opposite direction.

Saw this one guy in the canyon going so fast. I simply couldn't catch up with him. I no longer drive "recklessly" (even though I'm a "pro" track driver) on public streets, but I made flipped a u turn and gave chase and man as reasonable as I was in giving chase (no homes, cars, bikes on that road), I just couldn't get that guy, the z4 was eating corners like it was on train tracks.
