Just ordered my M40i today. Frozen gray, black interior, premium, executive, and 19" gray wheels. Really looking forward to having it as a garage mate to my M4. Will be selling my Z3

Nice combo and brave given all that noise out there about how difficult it supposedly is to care for the frozen colors. I really wonder if that’s true so can’t wait for people to post their practical experience with that!

Just curious for others here who have got their grey or ordered: mine has been "in production" on the MyGarage site since last week of July and it is now Aug 17. Wondering if they are pooling Frozen Greys to do together or if others here experienced delay in the assembly starting. |

Mine has been "In production" since July 25th. Still saying completion on August 30th when I call the 800 number.

Sakhir, we must be identical and ours are getting built together as your figures - from "Production Starts" to when finished at the factory are same as mine. I think my original order at the dealer went in before yours but my dealer had an allocation later than your slot whereas your dealer had a better one. I will check out this product!

The frozen grey does show the lines of the Z4 off at its best and probably Sapphire is the worst for this. But a black 'gloss' finish can also look stunning. Last edited by F20MAW73; 08-18-2019 at 02:24 AM.. |

Curious to see impressions once car is out in the light. I am hesitant to put anything on it other than the Beasleys matte protectant as want to make sure that "look" holds. From these pics though it looks great. And love your seat color and wheels on your car! exactly choices I picked too...depending on the color this car definitely dictates different wheels and seats.
I will also be washing mine meticulously and not be putting too many miles on it so hoping it holds up. Time will tell. wondering if this would look ok if just did front valence and part of front bumper. My 2007 z4 M Coupe looked like new even w 100K miles on it EXCEPT the front bumper/valence which had bunch of nicks from crap hitting it. Finally saw my first frozen grey at local dealer in Pleasanton and it looked awesome (but not M40i and wo my options). Looks like not too many out there currently nationwide. When I ordered mine in June there were zero FGreys of any type in California. |

Hi everyone, new here, happy owner of a frozen grey s30i, 1 week old, 1000 miles. I didn't realize how scarce the color was.
I was fortunate enough to get one off the lot, with black leather with blue stitching, and alcantara door inserts and seat tops, with a spec pretty closer to what I would have ordered. Loving the car overall, only thing I'm struggling with is a bass dead spot in the driving position - I'm 6', have the seat all the way to the back. When in the driving position, there's a bass dead spot - lean forward towards the windshield and there's a ton of bass, lean back, it disappears, and all I hear is the trunk rattling. Does anyone know where the amp is mounted? Not the same place as all my past BMWs. I'd like to add a small amp and secondary sub. |

Awesome you have yours! I managed to see one in the flesh at local dealership few weeks ago. Mine sat in "production starts" mode for almost a month and finally started moving a couple days ago and yesterday hit "in the paint booth". Hoping mine will make it out here to Cali late Sept/early Oct (and hoping its not the week I am in Amsterdam!). Enjoy the new ride. Still have not seen any Z4 on the road here in any version/color....

Yeah, i'm in LA, haven't seen a single one here yet, which I really didn't expect. I debadged it, as the badges took up a lot of real estate on the s30, a lot of people keep asking me what car it is. I wasn't expecting it to turn many heads, given the amount of high end cars here, but seems people really like it. If you're ever in LA, you're welcome to come take it for a spin while you wait for yours. |
