my first experience with summer tires in the winter was on 71 commuting to Louisville on about an inch of fresh snow. Was a 25 mile commute on a very busy interstate and the entire drive was one continuous slide at less than 20mph. i got to work, parked the Z (a 2004), rented a truck and ordered Continental Extreme Contact All Season tires. Since that time, i've had a MB SL and a Jag F Type, and have stayed with the Continental All Seasons for each. i have moved to Oregon.
i live in the Willamette Valley now, we have two seasons: drought and monsoon, about six months long each. my current ride is a 21 Z M40i and i just changed out the Michelin Pilot 4 summer tires for Continental UHP All Season ExtremeContact DWS06. A lot of people here put snow tires on their cars, i find the all season do fine. ~$1300 for all four. Front Size: 255/40R-18 Rear Size: 275/40R-18XL Last edited by tallslenderguy; 11-14-2023 at 03:06 PM.. Reason: Argo is right (copied and pasted from the tire store, not paying attention) edited the tire size numbers to proper size |

I've used various iterations of the ExtremeContact DWS over the past decade plus, an excellent tire. It compares quite favorably with Michelin's PS AS4 and typically sells for a bit less. |

Yeah, was kinda strange... had a lot of add ons, but not the wheels or upgraded stereo. Still, i bought it 7/2023 and it's a 2021 with only 15k miles... so, i'm upgrading the stereo lol.

I got Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3's and will get them swapped onto my original 19inch rims. These tires are runflats actually.
If anyone is interested, I will report how the tires will be working. |
