Console buttons stuck, Replace?

I just bought my 2020 Z4, and apparently the previous owner spilled something and the buttons for the Sport, Comfort, Eco, Adaptive, Auto H, and to some degree the parking break switch are stuck. I have to push so hard to change driving modes that eventually I am going to break something most likely. I have tried spraying electrical cleaner and it did not help at all. I thought I would just replace the buttons but I cant find that part online anywhere. Any insight or advice anyone might have would be appreciated.

Wife did that with sweet tea in her Genesis. Does not sound as bad as your case, but I simply used some Q-tips, water and time. Tough to do on the console, but it worked for us.

Sorry, can’t help much as haven’t ever experienced anything like that. It does sound like the Centre console cover is going to have to be removed to see what’s happening underneath. Then you might know what is causing the sticking and whether it can be cleaned up or has to be replaced.

I just hope the previous owner didn’t spill glue.

I would take it to the dealer before I screw something up trying to fix it.

But you can press the buttons easily right? I have to use my thumb and put all my weight on it to change modes and sometimes even that isn’t enough. I guess I’ll go to a dealer and let them figure it out.

Sounds like the control panel is in need of replacement, is the car under warranty?
