‘23 For Sale

Listed in post 6, if there is a problem I will ask to remove this thread. Thanks

Where in the forum would you list a Z car for sale? When I had my 850 there was a classified section.

Maybe just the General BMW forum? I'm not sure why the Z4 forum doesn't have any subsections. Might not be a bad idea.

Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think that maybe my title was causing a problem. I tried to change it but couldn't. Anyway, I can't seem to find a 'General BMW forum'. There is a classified section in the E89 and E85/86 sections, but not the G29.

Just make it simple. Put it in this section since it is the only G29 section. Might get some traction in a general forum, but I think this section will find more interested folks for a G29.

2023 Z4 M40i for sale

After only 6 months and 1700 miles I've decided to offer my Z for sale. It is SSG with Magma interior, it has the Moonlight top and style 772 wheels. It also has every option available with a MSRP of nearly $75k. The car doesn't have a mark on it, and driven by an old car guy. If you are considering buying a new car take a look at this one. No 5 month wait and no Dealer mark up. I'm asking $67k obo. PM if you want to talk. I'd be glad to help with shipping if you make the arrangements.

Might as well get this out now, you won’t be the only one to ask, I miss my Pcar. I had my dream car, but couldn’t drive it because of a back problem. Since then I’ve had surgery and some injections so I want another. Thinking of a modern classic 997.2.

Did you check to see how far out the delivery would be on a 997.2?

Well, they were made from 2009 to 2012. My only problem will be finding one I like. I’m particular about colors and some options. The new version is a 992 and they are above my fun car budget. I sold my ‘18 GTS in ‘21 for what I paid for it, of course that was an unusual time.

I follow BAT for 997 and 991 like a hawk. One day. For now I'm happy with the Z4. https://bringatrailer.com/porsche/997-911/. There's a 992 S manual with 600 miles on carsandbids... so tempting...https://carsandbids.com/auctions/9eN...arrera-s-coupe

BTW I've had back problems - 5 injections so far, 2 after a few half ironmans and 3 after a car accident earlier this year. Starting to feel better but not there yet to drive something lower and tighter.

I waste so much time on BaT. Best site ever.

I enjoy BAT for entertainment, it’s a great place to sell but not a great place to buy. Kind of reminds me of BJ Scottsdale.

Oh yeah. I’ve never bought anything. Just enjoy seeing all the unique stuff. Also seems to be a lot of knowledge there (similar to here).

Had to look up what a ‘997.2’ is. Definitely looks like the peak of Porsche design.

Saw a gorgeous completely original ‘09 white with tan interior for 73k - probably the high end of the current price range, but looking at the design, I can only see the prices going up as the years go by.

Good luck finding what you want!

That sounds like one that I saw listed. That is on the high end of 997.2 pricing unless it’s a Turbo or GT3. Before the new car shortage hit, Base and S models were in the $40k range now they are $50-60k. I found this picture a little while ago, it’s what I would be interested in.

What are the aspects of the 911 that won you over from the Z? The hydraulic steering, analog driving experience, 3200 lb weight or all of the above?

A buddy of mine had one when I had my e93 m3. Both cars were phenomenal in their own way.

If you do go down the 997 route, here’s a quick guide. You have to buy carefully to avoid an expensive maintenance bill.

Most problems are in the .1 cars, .2 cars are pretty much trouble free. Of course you can have problems with any car.
