Wow, I went the opposite way! I had a 997.2 CS cabriolet and sold it because of potential bore scoring and PDK issues. I loved the car, but just couldn't handle the stress. I would have stayed with Porsche if I could have found a Turbo or 991.2 model I could afford... never found one. So, a Z4 with the B58, ZF 8 speed and a warranty was hard to beat for peace of mind.

But, I definitely understand your feelings.

I don’t understand your concern for bore scoring. What I read is maybe 1% of .2 cars had a problem. If your car was very high mileage I could understand the stress about the PDK, otherwise I wouldn’t be concerned.

Love and miss my old 997.2. Except with the AC on, the PDK was a bit bumpy. Sold it for a 991.1 back in 2016 but that one felt a bit large. Took the Z4 onto the blue ridge pkwy this past weekend. It did fine, but its def not a P car.

About the car I’m selling, in the last two days I’ve had two dealers make me offers. One was $4k less than I’m asking. That verifies that I’m in the retail ballpark. Now I just need someone that wants a ‘23 in their garage.

This is a good buy for someone. Hopefully someone here that is looking sees this post and goes this route.

I have the exact same spec'd/optioned car with the only exception being the 50th anniversary badges (and colors). Awesome deal at almost 10% off sticker.

I know I’m priced correctly, CarGurus had 5 cars in my category that started at $69.9 and went to $72.9. I’m just not getting any lookers. The car is flawless, someone should contact me with a fair offer.

Yeah it has and the options haven't changed... apparently they hiked up base MSRP price on all models, and some more than others.

IMHO, if a dealer offered you $4k less than what you are asking then you are definitely priced right if you were to sell it directly to a private party.

Price looks fine for sure. I'm betting it's a market thing. This is one of the tinier, more niche segments out there.

Lightly used cars are still used and get worse interest rates than new as well. Even if you can afford it and have the money it's still a sting.

This is a weird market. A lot of haves and have nots affordability wise, and some odd dynamics that people aren't used to. I'm likely leasing my custom order Z4 for example, after a few years of leasing not being a viable option during Covid.

Might be worth trying a local event like cars and coffee to show it off, get in touch with other Bimmer fans.

We have a local Z club with 228 members. I have notified them, had a little interest but no takers. I agree small niche segment. This should be the place. Before I bought new I came here and looked. This section needs a Classified. How about $67k?

I think your best business result is likely finding the Porsche you want at a dealer and offering the Z4 as a trade. Possiblility of profit on 2 vehicles for them & sales tax savings for you.
