Love it, they got the design absolutely spot on for my taste. If only it came with an engine

Somehow car companies have lost their minds with electric designs, merecedes eq’s are the ugliest luxury cars in the world and bmw looks to be following them down the same rabbit hole.
Exactly, for some stupid reason they all think that an electric car must LOOK electric, lol. How about it just be a car that just happens to be electric. The way BMW used to not make a big deal about turbo charging, do the same with electric. Audi is doing a far better job of this, Porsche too.

Holy crap, is this thing ugly. If this is the way BMW design is going, my current X3M may be my last BMW.

Alfa Romeo Lancia

There is something Alfa Romeo / Lancia in this design for the concept car. Which is no bad thing.

This Neue Klasse concept is just reiteration of what happens in pretty much every artistic-oriented industry - instead of thinking about something new, those 'arsists' take the 'old design' and convert it to 'their new vision'. Which is pure dogshit, as we can see on the attached examples.

Why not going with something new, fresh, that makes sense? Because it would be too hard. Its better to use the 'old design elements' so when the criticism comes, you have just another shield to defend their incompetence from.

The car is not just ugly, it is tasteless. It has Z E R O taste in pretty much all design elements. And most of them make no sense at all.

The "3D grill" - sorry, but I was hearing so much about 'functional design' in the past, how to put all the 'features' (like cruse control and cameras) as part of the car design. What the hell this grill is there for? What does it represent? The only things that comes to my mind is one of the designers was looking into an abyss for too long.

Interior is piece of garbage, my grandmother living rooms 30 years ago had better looking furniture than this most likely to be quite an expensive toy on wheels.

This is an abomination of a car and a great way to make me switch to another company.

Well, nothing lasts forever, after all.
Even good designer team must come to an end at BMW.

And what purpose do they serve?

Passed an iX yesterday. I’d buy it over a Y if it wasn’t so strange looking. But opinions are like…

Meh.

I would expect more in terms of design from a global car company that has as much $$ as bmw does.

Their head of design needs to move on. Bring in some new and fresh ideas - please.

They are not at all cutting edge in terms of design. But, some cool on-board tech indeed.

Imho they’ve totally lost their design touch. Really sad.

Just a concept, but like this new design direction. Looks almost Scandinavian.

I love it. Was gonna buy a new EV next year, but I'll wait now until I see the production version of this. Coming from a first-year buyer of the i3.

I think I like the length of it, it doesn't look like it's going to be another land yacht. Maybe it's the design playing tricks with my brain, or maybe it's actually going to be on the smaller side?

The vast majority of people aren’t going to buy a smaller car than what they already own. Thats just reality.
